| Obverse description | A bull stands in left profile upon a ground line, its head turned back to the right in a characteristic contrapposto pose typical of Mysian coinage. The animal is rendered in fine relief with careful attention to musculature. An eight-rayed star appears prominently in the upper field above the bull's back. The ethnic inscription ΠΑ appears to the upper right of the star, with ΡΙ positioned beneath the bull's body, identifying the issuing city of Parion. |
