Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, hair elaborately rendered in wavy locks secured by a laurel wreath, with additional floral ornaments woven through the coiffure. The youthful, idealized effigy is rendered in fine late Classical Sicilian style, with delicate facial features and a graceful neck truncation. A laurel branch is visible before the face in the left field. The entire design is enclosed within a border of large beads.
