Obverse description Laureate head of Heracles facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with bold, naturalistic features. The god's hair is depicted in stylized wavy locks beneath the lion-skin headdress, the scalp and mane of which are clearly delineated above the brow. The facial profile is strongly modelled, with a prominent nose and well-defined chin. No legend appears on the obverse field.

Reverse description A Macedonian-style tripod cauldron depicted frontally in the centre of the field, its bowl surmounted by an omega-shaped handle and flanked by two upright handles hung with pendant fillets or chains. Two laurel branches flank the tripod on either side, their leaves rendered in stylized relief. The ethnic legend ΦΙΛΙΠΠΩΝ is disposed around the design, reading partially along the left and right margins of the field.
