Reverse description The reverse depicts a horse in a prancing or leaping posture to the right, rendered with considerable naturalistic detail in the mane, musculature, and extended forelegs. Below the horse appears a large truncated pillar or post, a distinctive Trikkean reverse type possibly referencing a local cult object or architectural feature. The ethnic inscription ΤΡΙΚΚΑΙΩΝ is distributed across the field in Greek characters, with letters arranged around the central device. The incuse square treatment of the reverse field is consistent with archaic and early classical Thessalian minting technique.
