Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical style with carefully detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath, the locks falling in waves behind the neck. The facial features are modelled with delicate relief, showing a straight nose and slightly parted lips characteristic of late Classical Greek die engraving. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered silver coinage from the Lesbian mint, with the portrait occupying nearly the full field.
