Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style. The goddess wears a close-fitting Attic helmet adorned with a decorated bowl and upturned cheek-guards, with loose wavy locks of hair visible below the neckguard falling onto the neck. The facial features are rendered with careful detail, including a well-defined eye, nose, and slightly parted lips. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered provincial coinage of this period.
