| Beschrijving keerzijde | A winged thunderbolt depicted upright in the center of the field, rendered with radiating volutes and wings extending symmetrically to either side in the Hellenistic tradition. The device is boldly struck and occupies the majority of the reverse field. The ethnic legend ΥΔΙ ΣΕΩΝ, denoting the civic authority of Hydisos in Karia, is arranged around the thunderbolt, likely divided across the field. A beaded border is visible along the coin's circumference. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Hydisos was a small Carian city whose independent coinage output was limited enough that its issues appear in only a handful of major collections worldwide. The SNG Keckman remains one of the primary reference points for attributing these pieces precisely because civic documentation for minor Carian mints is so fragmentary — local magistrate names, where they survive on the coins themselves, often constitute the only administrative record of the issuing authority.
