| 背面描述 | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four triangular quarters by diagonal lines, with alternating raised and sunken sections in the standard mill-sail pattern. A small pellet appears in one of the sunken quarters, while a crested Attic helmet is depicted in the diagonally opposite sunken quarter. The raised quarters are plain. This reverse type is characteristic of the prolonged civic coinage of Chersonesos in Thrace. |

Chersonesos, the Thracian Chersonese, was a strategically critical peninsula controlling access between the Aegean and the Black Sea — and its hemidrachms circulated so extensively that they became effectively a regional trade currency across the northern Aegean for well over a century. The type was produced by multiple cities across the peninsula under shifting Athenian, Macedonian, and local authority, which accounts for the enormous variety of obverse die treatments and the inconsistent countermark placement on reverses.
Philip II formally annexed the Chersonese around 338 BC, ending independent civic coinage there.
