Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in fine Classical Greek style with strong, mature features including a broad forehead, prominent nose, and a full, elaborately curled beard falling in thick waves. The laurel wreath encircling the deity's head is rendered with individual leaves clearly articulated. The portrait fills the flan with considerable artistic authority, characteristic of Elean coinage of the mid-third century BC.

Reverse description A winged thunderbolt depicted vertically at center, rendered with volutes at the top and flames or wing-like projections at either side, all enclosed within a finely detailed olive wreath tied at the base. The Greek letters F (digamma) and A are placed in the field to the left and right of the thunderbolt respectively, serving as ethnic abbreviations for the issuing authority. The composition is compact and well-centered within the wreath border.
