| Obverse description | Veiled and draped bust of the deified Faustina I facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Arabian mint coinage. The veil falls in heavy folds over the back and shoulders, with drapery visible at the truncation. The Greek legend ΘΕΑ ΦΑΥϹΤ appears in the field, identifying the empress as a goddess. The portrait, though small in module, retains the characteristic features of Faustina the Elder's posthumous deified effigy as established under Antoninus Pius. |
