Obverse description Bare-headed bust of the Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with short, lightly textured hair and a slightly draped shoulder. The effigy is boldly struck in high relief and occupies the central field. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Augustus) is disposed around the periphery, partially visible along the upper and right margins of the flan.
