Reverse description Central field bearing a Gothic capital letter 'N', the initial of Nuremberg (Nürnberg), set within a lozenge or square incuse frame produced by the hammer strike. The letter is rendered in bold Gothic script characteristic of late 14th-century German coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-cut planchets of the period. No additional legend or ornamental device is present.
