背面描述 The reverse displays the Bohemian lion passant, a crowned heraldic lion facing left with raised forepaw, rendered in the rough, bold style characteristic of medieval hammered hellers. The design is set within a plain or beaded border, with the field showing the natural irregularities of hand-struck silver. Legends are absent or vestigial on this denomination, as was customary for small-denomination hellers of this period.

附加信息

Wenceslaus IV inherited the Bohemian crown in 1378 at a moment of acute political instability — his reign coincided with the Western Schism, repeated conflicts with the Bohemian nobility, and his eventual deposition as Holy Roman Emperor in 1400. The four-punch technique used on these hellers, where multiple working dies were produced from a single master punch combination, reflects the high-volume, low-denomination needs of a kingdom under sustained fiscal pressure. Cach 440–442 distinguishes at least three die variants within this type, differentiated by subtle positional shifts in the punch placement.
