Obverse description Bipartite shield displaying the Árpád dynastic stripes of Hungary on the dexter and the rampant Bohemian lion on the sinister, the whole flanked by the mint divisor marks; the letter M, initial of King Matthias Corvinus, appears prominently above the shield in the upper field. The design is executed in the characteristic bold, somewhat irregular style typical of late 15th-century hammered Silesian coinage.
