Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian-style helmet pushed back on the head, with a prominent crest and cheek guards; locks of hair fall in wavy strands below the helmet's rim onto the neck. The effigy is set within a raised linear square border, itself contained within a shallow incuse square that fills the flan, a hallmark of Mytilene electrum coinage reverse design. The die-work is of high quality, displaying confident modeling of the goddess's facial features in a style consistent with fourth-century Greek coin engraving. No legend is present.
