| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style with carefully engraved wavy locks of hair swept back from the forehead. The facial features are elegantly modeled with a straight nose, subtly parted lips, and a well-defined jawline characteristic of high-quality Lesbian electrum coinage. The portrait is set within a plain, broad incuse field against the naturally mottled surface of the electrum flan. No legend or inscription accompanies the design. |
