| Reverse description | Within a recessed incuse linear square, the youthful male head is depicted in right-facing profile, his short, tightly curled hair bound by a tainia rendered as a plain fillet encircling the brow. The portrait, though smaller in scale than the obverse type, displays assured modelling of facial features, including a well-defined jaw and delicate lips. The incuse square itself is deeply cut and neatly framed by linear borders, a hallmark of Mytilenean hekte coinage, with the surrounding field left plain and uninscribed. |
