| Opis rewersu | Plain quadripartite incuse square, divided into four recessed compartments of roughly equal size by two perpendicular grooves meeting at the centre, with no legend, symbol, or additional device present. The surface of the incuse panels displays the characteristic granular texture resulting from the hammered striking technique. This standard reverse type is typical of Kyzikene electrum coinage throughout the fifth and fourth centuries BC. |
