The design is deeply incuse in the recessed sections between the spokes, creating a pronounced relief effect characteristic of early archaic Ionian coinage. The geometric motif, sometimes interpreted as a solar or stellar symbol, fills the flan entirely. No inscription or legend is present. The style is consistent with the primitive artistic conventions of late 7th-century BC electrum coinage from the Ionian region.
