The apotropaic mask displays wide-staring eyes, a broad flat nose, prominent protruding tusks emerging from an open gaping mouth, and dishevelled hair rendered as short incised locks across the brow. The deeply modelled features are characteristic of the archaic style of Mytilene electrum coinage, with the face filling the coin's field to its very edges. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Incuse square bearing a facing head of a lynx in sunken relief. The feline head is rendered with fine detail, displaying large forward-facing almond-shaped eyes, a broad muzzle with delicate whisker lines, small rounded ears visible at the upper corners of the incuse, and a characteristically alert expression. The incuse format is typical of early electrum hektai of Mytilene, with the design sunk into the reverse in deliberate contrast to the bold raised obverse type. |
