Reverse description A quadripartite incuse square dominates the reverse, divided into four recessed compartments by raised ridges crossing at the centre, creating a windmill or pinwheel effect typical of early Greek electrum coinage. The incuse is deeply struck with alternating raised and sunken sections within each quadrant, a technique characteristic of Phokaian hektes of this period. The field surrounding the incuse is plain. No legend or inscription is present.
