The creature's large, spread wings are delineated by bold, deeply engraved parallel striations, while the body is covered with a carefully articulated scale pattern across the haunches and chest. The head is turned slightly, with the open snout and tusks clearly defined, and the powerful forelegs are outstretched in a striding posture. The design fills the flan with characteristic archaic boldness, with no legend or inscription present in the smooth surrounding field. |
