| Opis rewersu | Incuse square punch of irregular form divided into four quadrants by a raised cruciform ridge, creating a windmill or mill-sail pattern within a recessed square. The incuse design is deeply struck with rough, granular surfaces within each quarter. A plain raised border surrounds the punch mark. No inscription or legend is present. This type of incuse reverse is characteristic of Phokaian electrum hektes and served as a countermark of authenticity. |
