Obverse description Male head facing left, depicted with a long beard and flowing hair, rendered in high relief in the archaic Greek style. The figure wears what appears to be a crested helmet or headdress, partially visible at the upper right of the field. The facial features are boldly modeled with a prominent brow and elongated nose characteristic of Phokaian coinage. No inscription or legend appears in the field. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of early electrum coinage.

Reverse description Incuse square punch of irregular form divided into four quadrants by a raised cruciform ridge, creating a windmill or mill-sail pattern within a recessed square. The incuse design is deeply struck with rough, granular surfaces within each quarter. A plain raised border surrounds the punch mark. No inscription or legend is present. This type of incuse reverse is characteristic of Phokaian electrum hektes and served as a countermark of authenticity.
