| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo rendered in three-quarter face, turned slightly to the right, occupying the full flan in high relief. The effigy displays finely modelled facial features characteristic of late fifth- to early fourth-century Greek die-cutting, with softly articulated eyes, nose, and lips. The laureate wreath is rendered in naturalistic detail, with individual leaves and berries clearly delineated across the brow and crown. The hair falls in wavy locks behind the neck, framing the face with fluid, sculptural quality. No legend or inscription appears in the smooth, unadorned field. |
