Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square of irregular form, divided into four recessed compartments by raised diagonal and horizontal ridges meeting at the center, a characteristic feature of early Greek hammered coinage produced by a simple punch. The incuse is deeply struck and slightly off-center, with the raised dividing lines creating a windmill or stepped pattern within the square punch. The surface within the compartments shows the natural texture of the electrum flan. No devices, symbols, or inscriptions appear on the reverse, consistent with the early archaic monetary tradition of the Propontis region.
