| Obverse description | Eagle standing left, wings closed, perched atop a tunny fish (tuna) lying horizontally to the left, rendered in bold archaic relief. The eagle is depicted with naturalistic detail, its head turned slightly forward and its talons firmly gripping the fish. The tunny fish, a civic emblem of Kyzikos, is shown in profile with clearly articulated body form. The entire design is set within an irregular flan typical of early Kyzikene electrum coinage, with a granular field surrounding the main devices. No legend or inscription is present, consistent with the pre-epigraphic tradition of sixth-century Asia Minor coinage. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square of irregular form, divided into four recessed compartments by raised diagonal and horizontal ridges meeting at the center, a characteristic feature of early Greek hammered coinage produced by a simple punch. The incuse is deeply struck and slightly off-center, with the raised dividing lines creating a windmill or stepped pattern within the square punch. The surface within the compartments shows the natural texture of the electrum flan. No devices, symbols, or inscriptions appear on the reverse, consistent with the early archaic monetary tradition of the Propontis region. |
