| Beschrijving voorzijde | Half-flan halfpenny produced by cutting a penny diagonally. The surviving portion displays a crowned royal effigy in right-facing profile, the king wearing a collar ornamented with annulets and holding a lis-tipped sceptre. The hammered surfaces are characteristically irregular, with the partial legend visible along the straight-cut edge. The bold, somewhat schematic rendering of the bust reflects the provincial Anglo-Norman die-cutting style of the Anarchy period. |
