| Obverse description | Central field depicts a stylized leopard or feline creature in profile facing right, rendered in a crude but energetic manner characteristic of early Moscow wire money coinage. The animal's body is shown in a walking or leaping pose, with limbs and tail suggested by bold incuse strokes. A border of pellets or dots partially frames the design along one edge. The overall style reflects the Tatar artistic influence prevalent in Muscovite coinage of the early 15th century. The flan is irregular and slightly oval, typical of hammered wire-cut silver of this period. |
