Reverse description Central design displays the royal cipher of Augustus III — a crowned and intertwined monogram 'AR' (Augustus Rex) — enclosed within a circular beaded frame surmounted by a royal crown adorned with a floriate ornament. The date is divided on either side of the central cartouche, with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right. The whole is surrounded by elaborate scrollwork and foliate decoration, enclosed within a beaded rim.
