| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Augustus II (the Strong), Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, facing right, with long flowing curly hair. The king is depicted wearing elaborate plate armor adorned with decorative elements and a fur-lined mantle visible at the shoulder. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the effigy, separated from the toothed border by a raised rim. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the vigorous Baroque style characteristic of early 18th-century Saxon coinage. |
