| Beschrijving keerzijde | Five heraldic shields arranged in the form of a cross within a quadrilobe frame, each bearing a distinct coat of arms: the shield of Arnhem at top, flanked and followed in the horizontal band by those of Roermond, Nijmegen, and Zutphen, with a fifth shield of uncertain or fantasy attribution at the base. The surrounding legend in Latin uncial script identifies the issuer as Duke Arnold of Gelderland and Jülich and Count of Zutphen. The quadrilobe border is characteristic of the Rhenish gulden type prevalent in the Low Countries during the fifteenth century. |
