Reverse description Central device consisting of an imperial orb (globus cruciger) set within a Gothic trilobe or trefoil frame adorned with pointed cusps, the whole forming a decorative quatrefoil-like structure. The orb displays a cross above and a horizontal band across the sphere, rendered in the hammered Gothic style. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial characters invokes the authority of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick III, separated by cross and star stops. A beaded border encircles the entire design.
