| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by the quartered Burgundian coat of arms, displaying fleurs-de-lis, lions rampant, and diagonal barry fields, superimposed upon a long voided cross that extends to the coin's inner border. The shield is rendered in the Gothic heraldic style characteristic of late 15th-century Low Countries coinage. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the circumferential Latin legend, which is divided by cross terminals and punctuated by separating marks. The date 1492 appears within the legend. |
