| 正面描述 | Three-quarter armored bust of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II facing right, wearing an imperial crown and elaborately decorated plate armor, holding an orb surmounted by a cross in his right hand. The portrait is rendered in a bold Renaissance style with fine detailing on the armor. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, interrupted at the top by the word REX. The field is flat with no inner border. |

Maximilian II's Bohemian gulden issues of this period reflect the Habsburg attempt to rationalize Central European silver coinage in the wake of the Joachimsthaler's dominance — the 60 Kreuzer denomination was a direct accounting bridge between the thaler system and the smaller kreuzer-based trade. Prague's mint was producing heavily during these years, fed by Bohemian and Moravian silver, though the dies cut there were notoriously inconsistent in depth, which accounts for the uneven surfaces frequently observed across the type.
