Obverse description Central shield bearing the rampant lion of Overijssel, surmounted by an ornate provincial crown, with the denomination numeral '1' to the left and 'G' to the right of the shield dividing the value. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, interrupted by a privy mark at the conclusion of the inscription. The overall heraldic composition is characteristic of Dutch provincial coinage of the early eighteenth century.
