| Description du revers | The reverse features the Eidsvoll Building depicted within a central oval frame inscribed 'EIDSVOLD' and dated '1814', surrounded by seven portrait busts of the founding fathers of the Norwegian Constitution arranged around the perimeter: Christian Frederik at the top within his own oval frame, flanked by Christian Magnus Falsen, W.F.K. Christie, Georg Sverdrup, Herman Wedel Jarlsberg, Nicolai Wergeland, and Teis Lundegaard, each identified by name. At the bottom, an open book bears the legend 'KONGERIKET NORGES GRUNDLOV'. The outer border carries a poetic inscription in relief, and the designer's name 'I. THRONDSEN' appears in the lower exergue. |
