Obverse description At the top center, a circular medallion features the bare-headed effigy of King Haakon VII facing right, encircled by the legend. The central field displays the inscription JUBILÆUM / 1814-1914 flanked by large oak and pine branches forming a wreath. At the base, the Norwegian Royal Coat of Arms — a crowned lion rampant holding an axe — is depicted on a shield, with a ribbon banner bearing the royal motto split to either side.
