Christian Fredrik occupies a prominent circular frame at the top center, with the remaining figures — C.M. Falsen, W.F.K. Christie, G. Sverdrup, H. Wedel Jarlsberg, Wergeland, and Lundegaard — distributed around the field, each identified by a banner with their name. An open book in the lower center field bears the inscription KONGERIGET NORGES GRUNDLOV, and the engraver's name I. THRONDSEN appears at the very bottom.
