Obverse description Central field bears the elaborate interlaced royal cypher of Stanisław August Poniatowski, composed of the letters S and A (Stanislaus Augustus Rex) in ornate script, surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial. The date is divided on either side of the monogram, with '17' to the left and '91' to the right. The design is unbordered, with the monogram occupying the full field in a refined Baroque engraving style.
