| Obverse description | Plain field bearing a multi-line Latin inscription without a central device, reading STA: NISLАВS. AVG: REX. POL. M. D. L. arranged across five lines with the date 1765 in the exergue. The legend identifies the issuer as Stanislaus Augustus, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. The lettering is rendered in a clean, upright Roman serif typeface characteristic of mid-18th-century Polish minting. A small decorative stop or star appears above the first line of the inscription. The overall composition is austere and typographic, consistent with the pattern coinage of the early Poniatowski monetary reform. |
