Reverse description Within a plain inner circle, the mounted knight (Pahonia) is depicted in profile facing left, armoured and on horseback, brandishing a sword above his head — the dynastic emblem of the Jagiellonian dynasty as rulers of Lithuania, rendered in the Gothic hammered tradition. The surrounding circumferential legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads: +KAZIMIRI : R : POLONIE : NATVS, proclaiming Sigismund as the son of Casimir, King of Poland, affirming his royal Jagiellonian lineage. The reverse flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with hand-hammered medieval minting practice.
