| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by a large Gothic capital letter M surmounted by an ornate crown with fleurs-de-lis and cross finials, rendered in high relief in the hammered style typical of late 15th-century Low Countries coinage. The crowned M monogram serves as the primary device, referencing the Burgundian regency authority. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, beyond which runs the circular Latin legend separated by pellet stops. The flan is irregular and slightly cupped, consistent with hand-struck billon coinage of the period. |
