Reverse description Central device features a ducal crown from which emerge intertwined olive and palm branches, symbols of peace and victory, arranged symmetrically. Below the crown, a knotted veil or lace (nodo) is depicted, an emblematic device associated with the Sforza dynasty. Beneath the knot, a small globule or dot occupies the lower field. The legend runs in the outer annular field, separated from the central design by a beaded circle. The engraving reflects the refined heraldic taste of the Milanese workshop of this period.
