| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the Borghese family coat of arms, surmounted by the crossed papal keys and pontifical tiara. The heraldic device divides the surrounding circular Latin legend, which is disposed in two arcs above and below the shield. The overall design follows the conventional papal heraldic typology of the early seventeenth century, with the shield rendered in a robust, slightly archaic style consistent with hammered coinage of the Ferrara mint. |

| Reverse description | Saint George depicted as an armored knight on horseback, shown in vigorous rightward motion as he plunges his lance downward into a dragon writhing beneath the horse's hooves. The saint wears a plumed helmet and full armor, and the horse is shown rearing dramatically over the defeated beast. The circular Latin legend naming the saint as protector of Ferrara runs around the periphery, punctuated by stops, within a beaded border that is clearly visible on the coin's edge. |
