| Reverse description | The reverse bears the name of the city of Lucca arranged in cruciform fashion, with the letters L-V-C-A disposed along the four arms of a cross, a five-petalled flower occupying the central junction. The entire design is enclosed within a quatrefoil border, with a stylised lily (giglio) placed in each of the four outer spandrels between the lobes. A small heraldic coat of arms appears at the top of the field, above the quatrefoil. A beaded circle frames the inner device, with the Latin imperial legend distributed around the circumference. |
