| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by a plain cross pattée extending to an inner beaded border, dividing the field into four equal quarters. The cross is bold and rectilinear in the typical Lombard grosso style. Surrounding the inner beaded circle, a circular Latin legend reads in the outer field, interrupted by star-like ornamental stops. The overall design is characteristic of the hammered medieval Italian communal coinage tradition, with an irregular flan and pronounced relief on the cross arms. |
