| Obverse description | Crowned monarch (Louis I of Hungary) enthroned facing, rendered in Gothic style, holding royal regalia with lilies flanking the figure in some varieties. The king is depicted in full frontal majesty on a decorated throne, with the royal mantle draped over the shoulders. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the circular legend running between the inner and outer borders of the flan. |
