| Reverse description | A crowned eagle displayed with wings spread and head turned sinister occupies the central field within a reeded inner circle, serving as the heraldic emblem associated with the Aquilino grosso coinage of Vicenza. At the termination of the circular Latin legend, a shield bearing the arms of the Nogarole family is depicted flanked by stars, attributing the issue to the signoria of Bailardino of Nogarole. The legend is separated by annulets and decorative stops. The overall composition reflects the influence of Imperial eagle iconography common to northern Italian communal coinage of the early Trecento. |
