Reverse description Full-length standing figure of Saint Adrian the Martyr, depicted facing forward in a frontal pose. His right hand rests upon a column bearing the abbreviated inscription S · ADR, identifying the saint, while his left hand holds a palm frond, the traditional attribute of martyrdom. The figure is rendered in the flat, linear style characteristic of hammered Italian Renaissance minor coinage. The surrounding legend, punctuated by pellet stops, bears a Latin motto referencing the saint's refusal to flee martyrdom.
